About TerraFauna Journeys

Our Beginning:
A Journey Toward Impact

Born from a love for wild places and a call to protect them, TerraFauna Journeys was created to make travel matter. In this short film, our Founder, Ami Jones, shares the story behind the movement—where purpose, adventure, and conservation converge.

Our Mission

At TerraFauna Journeys, our mission is to inspire conservation, one journey at a time. Where luxury is redefined by purpose—carefully stewarded journeys that restore the wild and transform travel into a powerful force for conservation.

Through our exclusive private and group journeys, along with our dedicated partnerships with conservationists around the globe, we create immersive experiences that allow travelers to witness the beauty of the natural world while actively contributing to its preservation.

Our collaborations with conservationists help amplify their impact and raise vital funds for their important projects. We believe that travel is more than just exploration; it is a powerful way to reconnect with the land, care for wildlife, and support local communities.

By offering these transformative experiences, we aim to ignite a movement of conservation and sustainability, inspiring travelers to protect and cherish our planet for future generations.

Meet Our Founder

Ami Jones is a seasoned travel professional and respected leader in sustainable tourism with over 15 years of experience designing and leading journeys around the world. Her work spans conservation travel, educational programs, and boutique expedition-style experiences, with a focus on connecting travelers to the people and ecosystems shaping each destination.

She has held leadership roles across both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including Natural Habitat Adventures, Road Scholar, and Modern Adventure, where she developed and guided programs rooted in sustainability, community partnership, and immersive design. Her work has taken her from the Arctic to the Amazon, always grounded in long-standing relationships with local guides, conservationists, and communities.

In 2025, Ami founded TerraFauna Journeys to bring that experience into a more intentional model of travel. Her vision is to design journeys that go beyond observation, creating direct pathways for travelers to support conservation and engage meaningfully with the places they visit.

Her belief is simple: when done thoughtfully, travel can be a powerful force for connection, conservation, and lasting impact.
