Welcome to Argentina! Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, meet your guide and chauffeur for a private transfer to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a hands-on welcome dinner that immerses you in Argentina’s rich culinary heritage. You’ll learn to make empanadas, share mate, and taste homemade alfajores while connecting with locals passionate about their culture.

TToday’s immersive city tour takes us through the heart of Buenos Aires’ most iconic neighborhoods—Plaza de Mayo, La Boca, and San Telmo—where layered histories and bold street art tell the story of Argentina’s capital. After lunch, we head to the banks of the Riachuelo River for a sustainable art experience led by a local artisan and silversmith. As a group, we’ll gather discarded materials during a mindful urban walk, then return to the artist’s workshop to collectively co-create a single meaningful piece—infused with symbolism and shared intention. This hands-on collaboration highlights the power of transformation, creativity, and community.

Day 3: Into the Wetlands | Iberá & Night Safari
Overnight: Rincón del Socorro, Iberá Wetlands
Fly to Iberá and transfer to your lodge nestled within a rewilded reserve. Enjoy the serenity of nature before joining a nocturnal safari through the wetlands—watch for owls, vizcachas, and the elusive maned wolf under a sky ablaze with stars.

For Roots of the Wild in Argentina, the group is limited to 10 travelers. This small-group approach ensures a more intimate, low-impact experience, allowing for meaningful connections with the people, places, and conservation efforts at the heart of the journey.

We pour our hearts into crafting meaningful, conservation-driven journeys—and we know that travel plans are a significant investment of both time and intention. While we hope you’ll be able to join us, we understand that circumstances can change. Please review the following policy carefully before booking.
Standard Cancellation Terms
121+ days (4+ months) prior to departure: A $200 cancellation fee per person will apply.
61–120 days (2–4 months) prior to departure: 50% of the total trip cost, including internal flights, pre/post extensions, and added services (e.g. additional hotel nights), will be non-refundable.
60 days or fewer prior to departure: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any refunds at this stage due to our financial commitments to local partners and accommodations.
Deposit Policy
All trip deposits and payments are non-refundable.
For fully private bookings (e.g., you reserve an entire departure), deposits are double the standard rate and remain non-refundable.

The best time is from September to April, when spring, summer, and early fall bring pleasant temperatures. Expect 20–30°C (68–86°F) in Buenos Aires and Iberá, and subtropical warmth at Iguazú. Rain can occur year-round, especially near the falls.

All tipping for lodge staff, local guides, and drivers is included in your TerraFauna package. The only gratuity not included is for your dedicated TerraFauna guide; we recommend $10–20 USD per person, per day.
