Conservation Spotlights:
Jaguar Reintroduction Program
Argentina’s top predator, the jaguar, had been extinct in Iberá for over 70 years. Now, through groundbreaking efforts by Rewilding Argentina, the species is returning. You’ll have the rare opportunity to learn about this flagship reintroduction program, including how researchers use soft-release enclosures, GPS collars, and behavioral observation to ensure successful reintegration into the wild.
Corrientes Community Collaboration
Rewilding isn’t just about wildlife — it’s about people. In Iberá, conservation efforts are deeply tied to community well-being. Local families and former ranchers have become eco-guides, artisans, and wildlife monitors, creating a regenerative model where nature protection and economic opportunity go hand in hand. Your stay supports community-owned initiatives that protect the wetlands and empower the people who call them home.
Urban Green Spaces in Buenos Aires
Even in a bustling capital like Buenos Aires, conservation is alive. The city's Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur, once an abandoned dumping ground, has been restored into a thriving urban reserve — a model of how cities can coexist with nature. Your visit highlights how Argentina is thinking holistically about conservation, from wetlands and forests to city centers.
Selva Misionera Restoration
The rainforest surrounding Iguazú, known as the Selva Misionera, is part of the rapidly vanishing Atlantic Forest biome. Reforestation projects here aim to reconnect fragmented habitats and restore corridors for species like pumas, toucans, and howler monkeys. Your stay at Glamping Selva Iguazú contributes to eco-tourism initiatives that protect these wild spaces and promote sustainable development.
Iberá Wetlands – Rewilding Argentina
Once depleted by decades of cattle ranching, the Iberá Wetlands are now a beacon of global conservation success. Thanks to the pioneering efforts of Rewilding Argentina, extinct or endangered species — including the giant anteater, red-and-green macaw, and jaguar — are being reintroduced to restore ecological balance. Your time here directly supports this living laboratory of hope, where nature is healing and thriving.
Iguazú – Forest, Falls & Indigenous Futures
The Atlantic Forest around Iguazú is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world — and one of the most threatened. As you explore this lush paradise, you’ll also meet members of the Guaraní community, Indigenous guardians whose deep ecological knowledge is vital to protecting both land and culture. Your visit helps support sustainable livelihoods, forest preservation, and cross-cultural understanding.
